Hi,

Today I tried to pull the heater valve electric connector. Damn that thing was so tight that I had to pull it by pulling the wires connected to it; ofcourse after pressing the release lever. I am afraid some day I might damage some connector trying to pull it. Is there anything like WD40 for losening these connectors?

Thanks
Arun

I usually pry up on the connector with a tiny flat blade screwdriver, repeatedly working one side and then the other until it pops loose. If it's stuck due to corrosion, try spraying it with electrical contact cleaner. Yanking on the wires is always bad -- you risk breaking the wire or pulling it out of the connector.

This is usually a tell tale sign that the connection is fried, try using a screwdriver to split it apart.

I knew I am doing something wrong. Thanks guys, I will get a contact cleaner and stop myself from yanking wires.
