I have seen a lot of sets of wheels for sale over there plus the real deals are in buying a single wheel here and there and putting together a set over time. The last car I bought one wheel from one guy in Germany, then two more 9's from another guy in Germany and the 4th from a wrecking yard in California on eBay (he did not apparently know what he had). The whole set of those wheels ran me about $500. I ran them bare and refinished the lips in silver hand polishing the black centers and making my own center caps from Mercedes caps and BMW stick on roundels.

Just picked up a set of M system 1s myself.
Mike, saw you win those tstars for 650 euro or whatever it was. My only concern is getting such items shipped to the states. You must've paid dearly for that.

The total was about $1200 for the set. They are the most perfect set I have ever seen. I could have bought a set in the US for about the same price plus shipping of about $100. So the cost was basically about the same. I also bought from the same guy a set of M-tech springs and 3 mirrors which were shipped at no additional cost to me. So, all in all, it was not a bad deal.
A lot of stuff sold in Germany for E34's goes fairly cheap. You have to search the stuff out. In the case of the previous set of wheels I bought, I was wondering if TUV inspections were the reason that wheels were being sold. I think if you have just a "hint" of curb rash, they make you replace the wheel. Anyone else have an opinion?

I'm still in the market for a single rim to use for a spare. It's hard enough trying to locate a whole set, let alone someone that has only one for sale.

In Germany, you do the communication.
