Well after a week or so of trying to find the radio code for my newly aquired 525i, i finally stopped by the dealer today. They gave me the radio code, for free... A guy even came out to the car to put it in the radio. The bad news, it doesn't work, or he couldn't get it to work due to the messed up display. No biggie, i'll just get an aftermarket headunit and be done with it.
buy one of those MP3 compatible USB key head units!

If you happened to try the radio code before hand and entered something that is not the code, you have to leave the radio on for an hour with the key in position 1 before you can enter the code again and have it work.
If you didnt already try that, see what happens. When I lost my radio code I didnt know this and figured that dealer told me the wrong code until I searched about the topic and realized I had to wait an hour (I previously hit random numbers because I had no idea what CODE meant).
