Vote on it!
Change transmission fluid and filter
Change filter only
Top off only.
Transmission was rebuilt 20k miles ago.

Change the Filter and whatever fluid comes out....
Make sure you get the right gasket for the filter...

Back in November, I had a complete tranny service performed. It consisted off: new fluid, new filter(s), all new gaskets, and other various wear and time items.
I'm an advocate of early fluid and filter change after a rebuild.

Well, Josh...I think that we should dump a real transmission into that beautiful car of yours, but that's another story :)
Fluid, filter? Just the same as a trans swap. Few more parts, that's all.
You'll get 10 million opinions on this kind of question, even though the transmission is what it is. Brett answered it well in a recent UUC post, when a contributor asserted that all (more recent) BMW diffs have lifetime fill fluid. Funny how even the more complex components of these cars that came with scheduled fluid maintenance requirements from the factory have all now been deemed unserviceable by NA (either by decree or by service managers). Lifetime engine oil's next.
If it were my car, it'd get 15k fluid and filter changes, but that's pretty stringent.

I'll take you up on that someday :) ...say, in 3-5 years?

Even the new cars with "lifetime" tranny fluid need it changed pretty much as often as the older cars. BTW, the quality of tranny fluids differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. I find some not so hot, such as Redline.
