If the chip is as bad as their German language in the offer, I would just dump it in a garbage bin.
But they got good comments from buyers.
Anyway, did you inform them your MOTRONIC part number after you ordered it?
They offer various chips for different part numbers. Offer clearly says, pls inform us the MOTRONIC p/n.

hey shogun,i am glad that we met here, because you are a LGC member too :D
thats my bosch nr. from my car.
i bought the right one because on the chip itself i found a etiquette that says "172"-i believe thats the termination for my bosch no.
any way i'm interested to found what can i do whith it?
the car respond fine whith the sjk chip but the ony bad thing is that it shutoff when i try to start the car,and
2)Biggest problem was that when I put the knob gearbox in '0', the rpm dropped from 740 to about 500 for a second or two. This was not a huge problem, but a bit irritating in everyday use.

I had one of those "SJK digital" chips on my car when I bought it (imported from germany). Dynoed 225hp engine power with it, but it ran way too lean for my liking. Replaced it with an EAT chip and now all is well. The performance didn't change in any noticeable way, but the car became a lot smoother.

thanx but i already have a chip from ebay,
i post up the problems encountered whith it,coul you guys help me in this case?
what do you say about that SJK german chip, and the problem whith iddle speed fall down to 500rpm?
Put back in the stock chip, if problem goes away, the new chip is the problem, throw it away and get an EAT chip.

I have a Conforti chip in mine. The difference between good and bad programming seems to be in the smoothness in the ride. Any wanker can rev the timings. It's in control that one reaches the ethereal... Oooo.. Anyway.
That chip is crap. Buy a real one. EATS or Conforti. If you have a problem with it, why not talk to SJK?
Also, keep in mind that guys that make television set mod chips may not be the best choice for a chip in the brain of your BMW.
What's this? Oh my!

And here's the afterthought:

If these tv chip people don't help you then.. that's to be expected. Good luck.

I see you solved your problem, good. However I don't see the point in chipping a m20b20, you're barely gonna notice the difference and it's still gonna be slow. Just save your money for a 525 m50 or something like that. But to each his own, I guess..
