New use for E34 cup holders...

...you know, the one that slips over the console on the right side of the shifter? Since I gave my wife one of those fancy eBay cupholders that fits in the console, I've just had the old slipover model laying on the workbench. The other day, I thought, "Hey, it looks like that might fit in the E30." Sure enough, it does, on the passenger's side where the little cassette tray would go (if I was '80s enough to have one), and it holds on pretty well. It looks like it clears the seat when it's moved forward for backseat access as well, so, COOL!

Bah, my dad's got those in his M, and goddamn do I hate them. Such a pain to open and close not to mention it takes up the only storage space you have.

Yep, I have the same one and I already imported to Japan several sets. It is from Herb, he owns a E34 and E32 and produces them in his own factory.

Maybe not the nicest looking, but very practical and made by an E34/32 owner who was tired to use what was on the market.

You cant use those if you have ASC. They are nice however if you dont. I have the Ultimate cupholder. They are the best. I have them both in the e34 and the e39. You need the "Universal" one for the e34. - JT
