View Full Version : Purpose of plastic piece
that is triangular in shape, hollow, about 1/4 inch thick, located in the rear between the speakers? Thought it was some after market thing from PO, but saw same thing on another BMW this afternoon.

So thats what the is for...I always thought it was for some sort of child seat or something. Why not just tuck it behind the armrest?

Ahh, I've always wondered that too. I'll have to put it to use.

Didn't I ask that a month or so back? Heh.
I now balk at the passengers who don't put it back in there after use :)

It always seemed to me that in a front-end accident, the belt would be quite likely to come out of that triangle and nail somebody pretty good with the business end. Maybe other people's hold tighter than mine...

When people are in the back seat (not sitting in the middle) they always pull that down off of it's neat little holder... and of course I tell them that the seat belt is on the other side and to put the center belt back up there. I do get that look also... haha
