View Full Version : Gas Dripping
Started the car this morning and noticed that gas was dripping onto the ground around the right side of the gas tank/right rear quarter area (under where the right rear passenger would sit.) I quickly shut down.
Any ideas? Fuel line? Filter? Fuel Pump?
Thanks in advance.

fuel filter, most likely a rubber line going to it

how bad was the leak?
It leaked about a cupful for the 2-3 minutes that I was idling in the driveway.

quite as bad. I stuck my head under the car and felt around until I found the wet spots. I then wiped those areas clean and started the car and once again felt around those areas to try and narrow down where it was coming from. It turned out to be where the rubber line connected to the fuel filter. All I had to do was tighten down the clamp that held the rubber line to the filter and the leak went away.

OK. So I look under the car while my buddy starts it
so I can trace from where the gas is leaking.
NOW IT's NOT LEAKING!! What the !!!!!
It leaked while parked both on a flat garage floor and an inclined driveway.
