Straight forward, I even removed some additional stuff for wear-checkign and cleaning. Probably the most simple "repair" I've done yet.

I highly recommend you get some sort of dam around the cone filter. You have to be drawing in hot underhood air plus fan wash. Should be pretty ez to rig one up.
Just my .02 worth.

I am actually relocating the air filter downward... if you ever saw under neath an E34 M50 power steering fluid resevoir there is a hole to be punched out that goes down to the bumper, I am placing the filter down inside there like a true CAI

oh good, so you can suck up all the road dirt! You already have the K&N filter, why not pack even MORE dirt into that M50 Jon.
