View Full Version : angel eyes installed
I just installed my angel eyes and got some pics at dusk and at night, the low beams are definitely brighter but the highs are a little weaker.
The wiring was straigh-forward, just splice them to the parking lights on each side. I love the look at night, and honestly I don't "hate" them in the daytime either. What do you think?

Looks pretty good, but I think you may have put the same pic. 3 times.
Color balance seems to be off. When I illuminated them with a 7.2 battery, I could distinctly remember that the rings glowed 'white/blue'.
Good work! Wanna buy an HID kit for your low beam? Take $25 of any one you choose :)
Also, post a picture of the cutoff, will ya? I think I may get another set like yours if the cutoff is better.

So did you insert the ccfl circles yourself or did you buy a pre-fabbed kit? Tell me what you got, I'm in the market for some!

Those are #194 bulbs illuminating a glass ring. I have a set for sale at: http://www.bimmer.info/forum/showthread.php?t=21075
Yeah, I'll quit hawking my goods ;)

The color balance could seem off because of my poor picture taking abilities, but they glow a nice whitish/blue.
I'll get some pictures of the cutoff soon, but first I have to adjust my lights.

So how do you change the low/high beam bulbs?
Do you just pop off the rubber boot where the headlight wires go into?

That's right! Both bulbs are H1. Seems like a simple question from a person that successfully removed the front grill (not easy the first time!), and managed to wire everything up! :) Great stuff!
NB: the angel 'ring' has 194 bulbs. I pulled one out to look.

I was hesitant to try and rip off the rubber on the back so i thought I would just ask instead.
Removing the front grill was much easier than I thought it would be!
Everything on this car seems to be way easier to do than any of my previous cars, plus I have experience from my auto 535i.
