Indy installed a new 40 Series Flomaster, Cat Back System with a Magnaflow 3" stainless steel tip. Man, was it loud. I mean Harley loud. So I had them quite it down with a muffler and now it has a nice rumble sound to it. :D What do you think of the look of the tip?

The tip is a little ricey. Not because of the size, but because its only a single outlet. You should change to dual tips.

As much as I like the dual tips, Speeder's one large pipe looks just as good...
Good looking e34 btw man, I really like the blacked out chrome around the windows.

Two pipes are better.

You realize most turbo E34s have one 3" pipe :)

Here's a better view of the tip.

I wouldn't call the single tip "ricey". Maybe if it were 8" in diameter. My B&B has a oval polished stainless tip, I would prefer the dual but it doesn't look bad. Damn that M60 sounds nice with an exhaust on it though, I can't imagine having a 540 with a stock exhaust. Speeder, I bet your gas mileage will suck for a while, what with you romping on the gas to hear the roar.

The first set up was way too loud. Sounded like a Hog, maybe tow Hogs. Then I put a muffler on it and now sounds closer to stock but has a little more throaty sound to it. Idealing and in lower gears it sounds louder. I'll try and make a audio clip.

My 3" Magnaflow stainless oval shaped tip does not look ricey at all. Some of those little round (small diameter) twin tips look undersized to me. ;)
Gas prices suck here in SoCal. The quality of gas sucks too. Shouldn’t gas prices have gone down after we captured the 2nd largest oil reserves (Iraq) in the world? But hey, somebody had to surpass WallMart (1st Q 06') as the biggest $$$ grossing company in the US (EXXON Mobil). :(
