It does seem a bit pointless really. I've never seen one of these on any car, so I am only guessing, but it could be handy next time you load a spare engine into the boot (trunk). Gives you a little extra room to maneuver the crane in.

Essentially a nice idea....

However what people don't realise is that mods like this are best left to custom body shop professionals!!!

You'd have to be a bit special to get this mod done in one weekend with a dremel, duct-tape and pressure-pack paint!!!

Looks a bit silly. Also, how are you going to re wire trunk wires ect. Then again, some people never sease to amaze me.
