Well, I finaly got arround to removing the stereo system from the Saab and will be installing it in the 540i soon. My question is; has any one ever installed USD Waveguides in an e34, or seen an install? The e34 glove box creates installation issues that other cars don't have. The Waveguide the D-1 RT Waveguide and is about 7 years old, so its fairly light compared to the newer higher performance modals.
I was considering mounting it to the bottom of the glovebox, but aside from the potential bad looks, I am not sure if this is a rigid enough mounting spot.
I can probably get it far enough back so that its not an eyesore, but may lose some of the travel range of the glovebox doing so.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, I'll post pics as the install proceeds.
I suppose I can always ebay 'em if they won't go in cleanly.
