wow!!! What a difference!
I have heard about it from time-to-time but never really thought it would make such a difference!
The engine is more responsive! idle is smoother! power delivery is more linear!
the engine has stopped ticking and runs quieter, I contribute this to the injectors firing in the correct order now.
To anyone who is having symptons of valve misadjustment with properly adjusted valves should try this.
I just can't believe the difference this made! My car is literally like a different car! I can finally think about an E.A.T. chip!
thanks Shogun!

it will even clear up small dents and paint chips too.

Yeah, I also did it about a month ago. The main thing I noticed is the trans shifting. Oh my god! Its like a hot knife through butter! Number one best trick for these cars... cost wise.

Now, this has got me EXTREMELYcurious. What is the Shogun reset and where can you read about it?

You should search. It's on this main page on how to do it. But anyway, here it is.

1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Turn the key to postion II (2).
3. Using a pole or screw driver, "short" the two battery cables. Just attach them to the screw driver. I think you need to do this for 10 minutes?
4. Re-connect battery.

if there's something wrong with your engine setup it won't last :( sorry to spoil the fun but I recognize the euphoria ;) As the DME is adjusting over (a short) time you'll end up with the same annoying symptomps like rough idle again. Time to do some real troubleshooting skills (and use this great forum) ...

Cheers,

John

Ya, however doing this reset will rule out one less thing to think of what it could be. But in the end, you're right. ;)

Could you let us know if it's still as smooth a day later?
