speaker replacement

The little speaker that is mounted on the door has stopped working. I was thinking of going to one of the BMW junkyard places and buying one there. How much should I expect to pay for a used one of those? I don't want to get ripped off, this place near me can be greedy...at least they were in my previous experiences.

its called a 'tweeter' you might want to call a couple BMW salvage yards like Bavarian Auto Recycling or Vines Automotive

My brother might have an e28 tweeter that you could buy. I could check to see if it will fit if you are interested.

BTW, how can you tell it quit working?

Yea I'm interested, find out if it fits and give me a price.

I could tell it stopped working because I heard some buzzing, then when I put my ear next to it I could tell it was cutting out.

Have you checked it for a bad connection? Maybe it needs resoldered.
