Need an oil change, too lazy to do it myself.
While it's in, they'll
1 - change the oil. :)
2 - reset the service indicator
3 - reset the SRS light (hooray!)
4 - check out the drive shaft -> replace the guibo if needed
5 - check the bearings (getting some intermittent growling at lower speeds)
If the bearings are going, how much of a pain in the ass are they to replace? BMA makes reference to a special puller tool and 214 ft/lbs of torque ... maybe I should just pay the shop to do it..?
TIA.

This is the dealership I assume? How much did they quote you to reset the SRS alone? Just wondering...

some people can actually afford dealer service, the problems I find disturbing is that the dealer is the best place to **** your **** up.

you mean the rear or front wheel bearings or the driveshaft center bearing?

Front wheel bearings are cake.
It took ~ 1 hour for me to do them.
I have 2 new dust shields if you need them...just pay for postage + $5. :D

Nope, local indy. Nashville Autohaus (http://www.nashvilleautohaus.com/), if anyone's interested; they're honest, quick, know their stuff, and not too expensive.

Front wheels. Hopefully the center bearing on the shaft is ok.

I may take you up on that. I'll let you know later today.
The only difficult thing about the front wheel bearings are the torque specs. I also lucked out and picked up a 3/4 drive socket and breaker bar that fit the nut. A 6 foot length of pipe on the breaker bar took it right off.

So, as it turns out:
1 - Oil change. Painless.
2 - Reset SRS light. Painless.
3 - Immaculate (they said it looked brand new) guibo. Yay!
4 - No visible wear on drive shaft / center bearing. Yay!
5 - Wheel bearings sound fine. Yay!
6 - Road test reveals tire noise from cupping, which could easily be a result of driving on the shimmy for a couple thousand miles.
Best $100.00 I've ever spent on this car. Can't wait for these crummy tires to wear out so I can get rid of that noise. Track day, anyone? ;)
