I have an 5 year Interstate battery in my car now, but I purchased it 6 years ago and it failed to start my car this afternoon. So, I'm going to replace it this weekend. I'm fairly certain that Interstate batteries are supposed to be good batteries for the money, but if there's something better, and hopefully cheaper, I'd appreciate knowing about it.
Grace and peace,

Your local Autozone will have the correct vented battery for $60, well they did a couple years ago..=) Sorry Robert, but I can't remember the group #....I believe it's 49? Interstate is also an excellent replacement, you certainly got your moneys worth out of that one!
Hope this helps,

Those Nikasil V-8s use a different battery in the city vs. hwy. Make sure you get the right one.

engine uses some **** calles for a nuclear powered generation start battery that is guaranteed for 150 years half life, they were expensive at the start but you can get them from Russia now for almost $90.00 worth it to me. I am extra careful not to spill the caustic fluids now.

How would you go about controlling sparknock on a 14.7to 1 compression engine?

water injection? heat rejecting coatings? race gas? knock sensor controled timing system or some combo there of, are we talking forced induction? saab made a neat little deal that used a knock sensor to control a air bleed for the turbo, it holds boost at the threshold of knock for max power, the volvo guys use to scavage the salvage yards for em, sorta like the svo mustang guys buying me out of volvo intercoolers, i herd that was good for almost a second in the 1/4 with some tweaks to go with it
