good solutution to sagging interior door liners

a common problem on e34's is the vinal skins pull of the pressed masonite backing. I investigated a solution to this today and found a very good one. A local guy to me can vacume some new material onto the masonite in the same texture and colour. It looks very neat, will last much longer than the original skins and is a harder fininsh too. Total cost $500. $125 per door. Good idea I thought. takes a week.

sorry mate i dont have any, he did have in his little showroom some e36 doors which he had lined black. they were very good. i suppose i could film em and post em but that is a lot of effort. The vacume forms the new fabric into every little mould very tightly and it really is a perfect fit. This same guy does wood grain or cabon fibre on any flat plastic or metal surface. He has some real timber and fake timber, the fake is way nicer to look at than the real stuff. I just remembered, he has a site.

mmmm, this sounds good but my skins are attached to a thin plastic sheet. I wonder whether he can do the same with them.

Sorry I was referring to the trim inserts not the actual trouble causing stuff and I'd rather wait to see pics of your car after it's fixed.

Meh, just chuck on some gorilla glue and position a few hockey sticks so they create some pressure on the panels. Won't look as good, but 500 bucks is a lot of money and can proabably be used for something more useful.

i took some photos with my phone so they are not really good but clear enough to see this e36 panel. the guy said he recievd an email from a yank but said he provides a service not a product. Although I like what is being done here, I always think hard before spending $500 on something like this. I will see.
