I have some relatives outside of Detroit (still 3 or 4 hrs from the meet location) I was thinking about staying with. I reeeeeealy want to go but I want to tie some stuff up with the car before hand = $$$.

That would be fine. I would just drive w/ you until you meet your relatives. My Dad would go since I'm only 18, but he's a newb at BMW's and I would like to drive down with someone. I also have to do a few things if I paln on going, such as fan clutch and a few other things. It would be a graduation present if I went, so I don't know what to do. It's just so damn far.
