A VIN# check would be the only way. There aren't enough pictures. From what I remember, only the 20th anniversary M5's came with the red seatbelts, alcantara seats, etc? Could be a hell of a pick up if it's legit.

Very nice car! The wheels I would change for some m pars, but for 145k miles the exterior looks brand new. Seller definitely needs more pics and a better description to sell for a good price to some enthusiasts. Shadow line on a red car looks really good. Ok time to stop day dreaming, wipe the drool off my chin and go to work.

I am very mostly likely wrong but I thought aht 93 M5 was m60 and not the six.

there was a limited edition M540 that had an M60 + all the M5 goodies like big brakes, 6 speed, self level, upgraded suspension, etc.

uh, actually, I'm visiting Göteborg on the 4 of june. If you actually do get it in time, I can perhaps check to see if the car exists/take pictures if anyone wants. That is if it's still there.
I'm not really helping here, but I'll be there. :p

alas, i dont think it's one of the limited edition ones. interior doesnt match up, and the door handles don't say bmwmotorsport. not a bad car though. still not a fan of the painted lowers.

Mattyb, in Australia, we only got the first series of E34 M5 with the S38B36 motor. In 1994, BMW Australia considered bringing in the M5 again (with the S38B38) but decided that compliance was too costly, so they came up with the idea of a limited special called the 540iLE. This was basically a Euro E34 M5, with 6 speed gearbox, floating brakes, Nurburgring suspension etc, but with the M60 motor. There were 70 of these made. This is possibly what you are thinking of?

John
