I was wondering if anyone knows where do they have BMW'S show in Southern California and how often. Also, can someone tell me if a BMW can become a hot rod or not, and if it does. How much money do I need to make one?

Your car can look like a hotrod (see message about playaz and 20s), but is unlikely to be a hotrod - 168hp pushing 3500#. The addition of money (what you have + more and more) could get you into hotrod status. Get an E30 and add lightness - same engine but 700# lighter - to more easily move toward hotrod.

OOOops, misunderstood you. Thought you were talking about a different "Hot Rod".
I don't know if you have these in the US, but they're quite a nasty treat.

I think it would be cheaper and more apprpriate to turn your BMW into a greasy snack rather than a quarter mile snacker.

What do you mean by "hot rod"? What type of modifications are you talking about?
I've seen various hot rods on TV wish flashy paints and minimized engine compartments, air bag suspension, etc. Those things can certainly be done.
But I would not do it. I think that E34 has complete shape aside from minor need for modification to the front bumper.

I am thinking to make my E34 into something like hot rod, but I know the amount of money it would be very big.
Because I watch a lot of the shows on tv, but I only see American cars convert into hot rods. I have never seen an European car. I wonder if the parts are very expensive, or parts are not available in the U.S.
If anyone knows a place a show or gathering with nice looking cars in Southern California please let me know.
