How about 255/35/18, on a lowered car.

No. I had a 1990 535i (Gayle's car now) with H&R and Bilsteins with 265/35/18 and had no rubbing.

Although you didn't tell what width wheels you're using or what offset ,275's seem to fit about 80% of the e34's. 265's have never rubbed mine on 18x9.5's with slight lowering.

OK wheels are 18x8.5/ET13. Guys, you have those tires on the front too, correct?
