looks like radiator fluid coming from water pump- besides gasket, anything else i should look at or change out-- tia

if its a m20 and you go for a water pump go ahead and check the freez plug behind the cam gear I've seen them leak. other motors I'm unsure of

yeah its above the water pump behind the cam gear when they leak it runs down and looks like the water pump is leaking we had that problem on my friends 325Ci

change the brake fluid gasket before messing with the cooling, look under after the car is hot ( on ramps ) and then feel for leaks.

wtf are you talking about? i appreciate the help but what does leaking coolant have to do with that?

you should check the fluid gasket when its on ramps.

addendum-there is also a slight marble type sound coming from up top near the water pump but partially goes away or almost completely goes away when the water starts circulating through - waterpump yes????

the frez plug was leaking on mine and ended up backing into the cam gear before i adjusted mine too

if i am already there is it worth changing out and how involved is it to change???what about thermostat???

it's an easy job, just make sure you get the gasket ahead of time.

no gasket, use teflon tape so it doesnt leak out when its hot

ok ill bite what is the rocker arm adjustment ??-replaced water pump and noise still there tia
