Front wheel drive cars don't handle as well, and so you're more likely to run over a rabbit in a FWD car. RWD cars are better for wildlife. That's clearly the message.
It should've read:
This is why we don't have front wheel drive:
BMW 330i: $36,600
Lexus ES350: $33,900
Higher prices for you means more profit for us!

is that real? (as in, did bmw create the picture) if it is, i'm going to print it out and point to it everytime somebody tries to explain why fwd is better than rwd.

It looks like genuine BMW advertising to me. I started collecting ads from the 70's and the years of the car's I've owned. They are f'in great. Actually that were I got my username for this board.

That doesn't mean anything. There have been some very funny and very convincing VW ads that weren't created by VW. One of them shows a suicide bomber detonating himself inside a VW to demonstrate the car's strength (it is externally undamaged by the blast).
Not saying it's not real. Just that it could be not real.

I was saying that I have seen quite a few BMW ads. IMO, the font size, the graphic, everything says BMW picture ad. If its a fake its a good fake. Where did you get it bahnstormer?

If it is a fake, the accuracy makes it all the more amusing. That's why I think you can't be sure just by looking at it.
Then again, it may well be genuine.
Either way, I think the point will be lost on most people. If it's a real BMW ad, then it's far from their best. Still amusing, though.

Hi,
You're probably thinking of the GS or IS. The ES is a glorified Camry, complete with FWD and significant understeer.
