Well, I was driving out of my apartment complex the other day and had to pull over. I looked down at the gages and saw that magic number: 250,000 miles. I had to stop and snap a picture, pathetic huh... Who else belongs to this club?

Congrats. I'm working on it, but still a few miles short.

I was just going over all the rust spots and paint chips on my car. Mileage isn't going to kill this thing - its going to be the Michgan winters that eat it alive !

Awesome. Yet another high mileage m20 e34. :)
As of right now mine is at almost 185k.

Mine has ~270K and still runs like a top, burns no oil, and gets ~22 mpg cruising on level highway at ~80 mph. Leather interior in very good shape, but this car has the usual rock chips and paint issues of a Sterlingsilber BMW.

Not sure where my photo went, but I broke the 500,000km mark last fall. Equates to @ 310k miles.
Low compression on cylinder 5 led me to investigate and eventually swap out the block, rings, bearings, head job....... Ran great prior to the job, just used more oil than I was comfortable with.
Anyhow, now it will go another 500k km :)
Keep it up

Yeah, mine doesn't burn any oil either. However I do have a small oil pan gasket leak that I need to address one of these days. She still runs so strong with nearly perfect paint and an interior to die for minus the damage to the rear door panels (kids and there prying little fingers). I still can't believe how strong the transmission is for such miles in such a heavy car. What a great investment put over 3000 miles on it in the last month. My mom drive a new Lexus SUV, when we all get together (when I'm in there neck of the woods) we take my e34, go figure. Sorry for the long post but, I'm obsessed with this car, for good reason. I can't wait to break 300,000 miles. I'll drive her till she dies then I'll resurrect her.

That's some drive time, what a great $2,300 investment. Not to mention how safe it is for my son, all that metal...

I did the photo at 100,000. Wife was sure I was crazy. We agreed on that fact and life went on. Bought it at 72,000 and seems even stronger at 125,000.
