i just bought this car about three months ago and i took it to a bmw dealer for testing and they came up with all these problems and i noticed that most people here in the forum are basically mechanic relatively speaking. could somebody help me with instructions on how to do the following (possible pictures etc..) or any information that will help me thanks.

1)belts need to be replaced
2)master cylinder leaking (no fluid in resevior)
3)valve cover gaskets leaking
4)what is the water pump

Please advice

1: easy, takes 40 mins with a shop manual and no prior experience on the V8s

2: clutch or brakes?
if its the brakes, you may need to rebuild your calipers, or check the grommets connecting to the reservoir

3: set aside a couple of days for that, and do the intake manifold gaskets while you are at it.

4: it pumps coolant through the block to the radiator to cool the engine.
they are known to fail when the plastic impeller shatters like an old saltine.
get a rebuilt one with a metal impeller and some new hoses and thermostat.

5: there is no 5, but you should get the Bentley shop manual, and also spend a few days reading through prior posts. most of your questions will be answered, although you will have a lot more when you are done.

Webpages have no weight, they're data (or electrons) passing through hyperspace and into your mind. That expression gave me a chuckle, thanks.

As for the bentely, you can always find it on Amazon.com. There's a new version that came out recently (don't know how recent) with a color car on the cover, so it might be more expensive. I remember getting mine for around $50 it looks like amazon has them for $70 now.
