with LEDs

I replaced the three OBC bulbs with LEDs and resistors and it works.

Just gotta sand the LEDs to defuse the light and fit them to the base.

The display is still amber, but the diming function is not as good.

Yeh heh I dont want to change the radio because I want to keep all lights same colour.

i think it would look better, more BMW-esq if one were to use white LED's instead, does anyone have pictures of all the amber lights converted to LED's?

Nice bling and to each their own, but I'm no fan of blue illumination - it's on the wrong end of the colour spectrum for ease of viewing at night. BMW chose the proper colour for the backlights so I'm keeping them - esp since I was able to get a a close match in my Sony head unit...

My VDO headunit is a perfect match... And the fact that VDO also made the E34s gauges is a nice touch too!! ;)
