View Full Version : CDV (Clutch Delay Valve) removal
It was brought to my attention, in a rather interesting forum which is another story, the CDV can be modified to effecitively bypass its functioning which will result in smother ,less jerky shifting. Has anyone done this themselves? Like the results? Any risks?http://www.zeckhausen.com/CDV.htm
nevermind i searched the archives....carry on.

Nice link, thank you for posting it. I'll read through it before I add to this post though.

started with the e39, you guys don't have it in the e34.
I am having mine removed this week on the 330, I hate it.
BMW does not even list the CDV as a part, it sort of doesn't exist...
You don't need to "MOD" it anyway, just remove it and you're done!

says here they call it a "Lock Valve"Still nothing about the E34....

I have all the best info for DIY removal... (but again, it does noyt apply to e34 whatsoever!!)
I researched it quite a bit.
This is the best I found: (great site for e46 BTW)
