So, I decided to replace my strut inserts and upper strut mounts for my '89 535i. I ordered the parts from Rockauto.com and they arrived safe and sound.
I have doubts about the Upper Strut Mount though. I have since done a lot of searching and I've found two different mounts and want to know if what I have is just part of the overall upper mount.
Here are a couple of pics of the strut mount I received. There is obviously no spring seat.

Should I send these back and get the mount that looks like this, or can I reuse the spring seat from the old strut mount?
