View Full Version : AC leak?
i recharged my AC in september, and used it constantly in september-october.
then november through basically march i only used it maybe 5 times.
today, being 75 outside, i ran the AC and the air was warm. it wasn't cooling down at all.
im going to recharge it again this week, but i wonder if it could be leaking.
what do you suggest i do?

over the course of the winter. I have checked for leaks and found nothing, but of course I know its going somewhere. So far I've just invested in R134 gauges and I can recharge the system in about 15 minutes (usually takes less than a can to bring it back up to snuff).
If anyone knows some more about fixing this more permanently I'd be very interested too. But I don't want to take to some place thats going to charge me a fortune to play hit-n-miss.

generally wherever it's leaking it's wet with oil, a real common place for e36/34/32/30 to leak is the expansion valve, it's a little harder to get to then changing the micro filter, but it's in the same area if the car
