I am tracing down a 1221 code, and i want to do a voltage test of the O2 sensor, finding it was a pain in the ass! i first tried to reach itt from the top, but that just cut my arm on some broken wire insulation, so i went in from underneath, without jacking the car up (i pride myself in being capable of getting in, and often out of tight spaces) so i crawl in from the front, pulling myself up from some crossbar and now i have these nice greasy grill lines from the oil pan cooling fins on my face and chest ( car was cold so no burns )
and even though my girlfriend found the grill marks sexy, i would like to know if anyone has a better way of testing the output of a 02 sensor with a voltage meter (As described in bentleys) to determine if i need a new o2 sensor ( but i am considering doing the torch cleaning first if it turns out it is the sensor)
for the record i have a 95 525 with m50tu motor (auto trans)
