Has anyone ever re-geared their final drive? I am toying with the idea to try and get a little more snap off the line.

assembly, then to change the ring & pinion if you have never done it.

Why not just drop a diff into it? At the very most it should entail swapping the diff cover. E28 guys do this routinely.

My Alpina (5-spd) has a 3.73 LSD in it from the factory. It's either just right or a tiny bit short. I certainly wouldn't go with any shorter gearing. To be on the safe side you might want to go with the 3.64.

i have the 3.64 and i think thats a tiny bit short(for a 535)
