535i auto LSD into my 535i manual non LSD?

I understand this swap is possible, but what is involved? Would it be better to look for a LSD that came out of a manual e34 rather than an automatic? If I went ahead and swapped in the 3.91LSD into my e34 what would I need to make the install happen and as pain free as possible? Thanks a bunch everyone.

pain free as possible: get a LSD out of the same model and year, if not possible at least the same model over a few years. the problem is over the difft models and years the input and output flanges change.
