i'd have my interior redone, a set of wheels and then take my parents out to dinner to thank them for putting up with me and all my car ****, the constant packages in the mail, late nights in the driveway with power tools and absurd language when things go wrong, etc...

a $2500 geo metro or a $2000 honda CRX HF. we'll all be needing such, soon enough.

I would take either Brandon J's s38
or his new paint job.
I can tell you exactly because in the last month I've done waterpump, A/C cond. and dryer and then (dumphuk that I am),the aux. fan, evac & charge A/C, shocks, tires, brakes, thrust rods, tie rods, links, #$^%$ cabin air filter, fixed both broken headrests and seats, the window switches and I still need to clean the POs kid's $%^&$%^ chocolate bar out of the pouch behind the drivers seat!!
Now the GF who this was intended for to replace our decrepit old minivan dog hauler informs me not enough headroom and steering too stiff.
Three grand, HA, all I need is fifty cents for a little lead behind my ear!

Jeez--I am a 6 foot tall amazon and I have plenty of room. HOW TALL IS SHE??? How do you have those seats adjusted?
And the steering is too stiff??? She would rather drive a slush bucket?
I am not so sure this gf is a keeper.

With 3 grand to spare for my e34....
I'd swap the tranny to a manual and all related parts for it.
I'd also do all the required maintnence to the engine as needed.
If I had 3 grand right now, instead of putting it into the car, I'd put it into my mutual funds. hahaha. I'm soo broke. :(

She's a keeper and only 5'6" but eighties hair. Yea, she likes the slush bucket and we're talkin' slush bucket "89 Caravan 130??k on original stuts and a broken sway bar! I'm not kidding.
