So i spent yesterday flopping around under my car getting my new transmission in to find that the tail section was tilted slightly and the mount from my old transmission was not going to work. Is the m20 at a diffrent angle than the m50? The transmission looks perfectly straight and everything has fit fine so far.
So my question is will a mount from a older car with an m20 work? I looked through real oem and its hard to tell if the bracket is almost flat on one end like i need. Or do i just have to fabricate my own? Also why does the m50 have the additional mount in the middle that bolts to the bottom of the tranny? By the looks and feel of it its a much stronger mount, i think if i use the stronger rubber mounts again with the m20 backet or my own it should be strong enough but would like a second opinion. Has anybody here done this before?
This bracket almost looks like its flat on the left but its hard to tell from this view. Any m20 owners know?
