Just thought I'd share. I actually thought about getting this one for myself.

We have a 2003 540 6sp with 18k miles for sale here in "like new" condition. I'm seeing fewer and fewer 540 sticks coming through AND BMW has a promotion going on right now for 2003 5ers, 2.9% financing. This ends today so if anyone is interested, we would need a credit application done today! Here's the details, let me know if anyone wants pics.

Does it (I assume it does) have the sport package? if so, this is a very desirable car with the M-like suspension and wheels. Really nice car.

The 03 sport 540i & 540iT are sweeeeeet.

Certainly on my short list for next auto... just waiting for my bank account curve to intersect the 540 price curve.

All 2003 540 6 Speeds automatically get the Sport Package and the M5 Aero kit. Thats the last year for the E39 and that's how they "spiced" it up, to make it attractive still, before the new design came out.

This particular model is supposed to be collectors material in the future. Just as Ed describes, certain items are found on this one and only run from BMW. There is also supposed to be a sport suspension and a couple other goodies only found on this last hurrah.

Sounds like a decent price for what it is...aw hell, go for it ed!!!

That's a GREAT price, esp for such low mileage. And those M-parallels... and the blue over tan... ///M suspension & bumpers & trim...
