Replacing Water Pump

I am about to replace the water pump, radiator, thermostat, and coolant level sensor on my auto 525i and I was just wondering if anyone had a write up on replacing the water pump. I dont have a manual for the BMW so I will be doing it all by my lonesome self, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Pretty simple provided you have a 32mm wrench thin enough to fit on the nut holding the fan to the clutch. LH threads so forget about lefty loosee, righty tightee. Be sure to bleed the air out.
And lest I forget the consensus here is use the Bimmer blue coolant.

and 632 what is that picture of? Anyone know where I can get my hands on a write up on how to replace the waterpump? And when I remove the trans oil cooler lines there wont be too much tranny fluid that comes out right? sorry first automatic I have ever worked on.

replacing the waterpump shouldnt involve any trans fluid at all! The tool is to hold the pump from turning. I made this based on Winfreds tool after i realized the pully was made from plastic and cant handle vice grips :D

well its an automatic so it has the two tranny cooler lines running too the radiator, which I am replacing too, which have fluid in them. Yes it has probally gone back to the tranny since the pipeing for them is designed at an angle. I was just wondering. So pretty much after I remove the fan, its straight forward to remove the waterpump?

Actually, for a *thin* 32mm wrench, you should go to a bike shop and get a headset wrench that will cost you between $10-15 and will be something like this one:

www.bmwe34.net. This should help you quite a bit. Only a tiny bit of tranny fluid will trickle out of the radiator. Get a Bentley manual, this will help you immensely. Also, use the search button.
