why would you want to add one of those for?

I don't think I would add anything like that, at least in the short term. Just wanted to know if things like Ram air intake do any good for an M50. And that electric turbo charger :)

The best it will do is lose you power and not filter as well as the stock filter. The turbonators are worse.

In that track video, what model is the Subaru Impreza (?) that you were keeping up with? Seems like its got a better track grip than an e34. Is there any modifications in your car?

That electric "supercharger" uses a whole 2 amps at 12V - about 25 watts of electricity. Less than a hairdryer. Call me a cynic, but I don't believe for a second that it would be capable of producing any useful boost. I'd bet that when they say it's capable of 250CFM, the 250CFM is when the blower is not connected to anything - the advert is careful not to say or imply that it's capable of 250CFM at 6psi boost!

that'd be 250CFM with no head. its a blower so there is no net pressure gain from the pump unless you ram it into a constriction (like rootes blowers do)

it says its got 300bhp and 4.8 seconds to 62mph (100kmph). How were you able to keep up with such a car? Driver of it was inexperienced?

Why do you even have to ask? There are only two possibilities. First, the driver was less experienced. Second, the car did not handle as well.

It was a general question and also a way of expressing delight that his BMW was able to keep up with a car more powerful and dynamic than his.

What is a good brand/model of supercharger for a M60 V8 engine? Have you folks heard of anything that would give decent performance?

Save your money.
