What kind of mileage are you all getting on your 525i's?
I'm getting like 19.6 and it shows something like that on the computer.
I think this is not that great. i'm using amoco ultimate and just did a tune up. The valves make a ticking sound, other than that, all the stuff has been replaced? Do you think this would make a big diff?
better spark plugs make a dif?==> using the bosch platinum 2 prong ones.?
Share your mileage / comments.
thanks.

22-24 average. High of 29-30 at 65 mph interstate. Low of 11-14 in heavy traffic.
Use only plugs called for for your car. Platinum plugs are not good. M50 engines rattle a bit, especaially when cold. Check your oxygen sensor and air filter. Use synthetic oils in engine and differential. I also use Mobil 1 synthetic trany oil.
I also recommend replacing your ecu chip with an EAT chip. Your car might get better mileage as well as better peformance.

gymkata,
do a search on this subject. there was a loooong thread maybe a month ago, and doubtless before that, and before that. so you'll have lots of people commenting on thier individual results.
i have a bone-stock M50 wagon, and get same mileages -- low to mid 20s in mixed driving, high 20s highway.
