View Full Version : Your opinions please.
Hey, how you all going? Im new here and I own a gun metal grey 92 525i and was tossing up the idea of where to change my wheels to the ones that are on the current M6 which look like this for those who don't know.

Do you think they will suit the car? If anyone has some photoshop skills would they mind whacking a set onto an E34 to give me an idea of what they will look like? Heres a smaller pic if it helps:

Greatly appreciated, Thanks!

When you want an opinion about how something will look, you usually need to post pictures (of your car) to get a response from anyone. There is also a thing where a lot of people won't respond to anyone who hasn't filled out their profile.
I posted a composite picture with these wheels. Search for my posts.

I would seriously stick with the "standard" e34 wheels, because they suit the car better...
M-Par is best, then there are about 3 others tied for 2nd!

Liquidtiger has sweet wheels too (RD2?) (search a post from him and see his sig pic

split 5's usually look good on the e34 but i think those particular ones don't.. they really suit the e46 though

Yeah, it is. I'll go look up the correct german word for the colour just for you, smartass.
Thanks for the link Qube, I think the wheels suit the car. McWatters, the wheels are 17' but I don't know the offset. Buy the way, i'll update my profile when I get a chance.
Here is the car, but I don't think it would be easy to put the wheels onto this pic.

is that second picture your car, with the eyebrows and clears and such? it's coming along well!
for the split spoke m6 wheels, incantation was right.... they look better on 3 series cars. if you want em though, by all means go for it. make sure the et is between 13 and 25, the hub diameter is 72.56mm, and your bolt pattern is (obvi) 5x120
make sure you lower it.
No, no the second picture is not my car, I just used it as an example for the wheels which I have on there now. I was thinking about clear indicators though.

go for it. clear indicators, smoked headlights, euro trim, Sachs kit to lower it, some nice wheels. ha, see what happens? once you start, you cant stop.
Thats the thing. But im more performance minded rather then looks. A nice set of wheels is what I need. But then again, I can't do much with a 525 performance wise, heh.

I think there are a few other wheels out there that are much more suited for the e34, I dont like them that much but if you like them, go for it!

I really like the 645's wheels, but god.. you just really made me wanna go for the cross-drilled and ventilated brake upgrade now! :D

I've got the slotted rotors front and rear, thats why I like the M6 wheels, because you can see though to the discs.

The whells in the second pic are what I havem and while a bitch to clean, I like them best. I'm one of the old fogie types that wants to keep my car a close to factory stock new as possible. If you keep these wheels, I would sugest a set of brake dust shields for at least the front, if not for all four wheels . Cuts the cleaning down quite a bit.
The pads that im using now produce hardly any dust. If I was to change the wheels I doubt there would'nt be much of a problem with cleaning anyway.
For those intrested I put a deposit down today. Will pick them up in a couple of days.
