Headlights to be replaced - How to remove the grill

Hi,

I just got a pair of DEPO (HID) headlamps and need to replace them on my 95/525 (M50).

I removed the four screws on each (left/right) side but it looks like the grill (It is a wide grill) is being held at the bottom coz i am able to slant it from the top.

How do you get it out to be able to access the headlamps.

What bulbs are used for city lights and how do i connect the city lights. Can i simple splice the wire and connect it to the low beams.

theres little plastic clip type deals on the bottom you need to press down and out of the way with a slim screwdriver and then it pulls out. Careful not to scratch the bumper.

where do u get an inline tap?

connector, its just asking for corrosion and bad connection problems. If its considered an important connection i would solder it and use shrink tubing on it. I see more messed up car hauler and race car trailer wiring using scotchlok and in line connectors.

how about... kill the side markers and wire them directly, then install euro trim!

Yes they are !
Using these are like asking for problems down the road, if you don't ruin the wires before you even get on the road.

If you insist on a mechanical connector use some "Posi-Lock" connectors. These things rock !

what he said. get a long flathead screwdriver, and in the center of the grill there are two plastic clips that you need to put a decent amount of pressure on to remove. do a search on grill removal, there are some more tricks and probly pictures of what you need.

oh and when you get the plastic clips out, remove em from the grill and dont put em back on, at least thats what i did and now i can remove the grill without tools!
