On Autohaus AZ there is two different "Timing Chain Guide/Rail" parts one is $45 and one is $16. It looks like the $16 is the plastic insert for the stock aluminum rail and the $45 is the aluminum rail itself. Correct? I only need the plastic insert?

The two parts you described sit on the insides of the timing chain. The aluminum guide has no insert. That $16 parts sits on the opposite side of the aluminum guide.
