A/C question

In this very hot weather my 1995 m530i Air conditioning fan quits working for maybe up to a minute, and then starts back up again, anybody have any ideas about that? I can run it exactly the same on a cooler day and not have it shut off. It only shuts off in very warm weather.

Blower relay? From what I read there's something like a blower control under the dash around the steering column area too.

I don't know, I've only had the bmw since April, I don't know if its ever been changed.
