View Full Version : Cold start valve?
Hello everyone. 95 525/5-speed. Car is still stored for winter, but noticed last year if the vehicle sat for say 3 or 4 weeks, start-up would result in real bad idle until warm. Everything recent and in good shape and vehicle runs excellent other than this.
Is there a cold start valve involved somewhere with the intake system and if so where is it?
Thanks. Guy

hyrdraulic valve adjusters is bleeding down completely after sitting that long and taking awhile to pump back up after starting... or the check valve in the pump is allowing the fuel rail to drain back into the gas tank and then one of the injectors is gumming up since its not sitting full of gas..there are many possibilities.. I would start by checking the temp sensor on the engine...
