Hi, I just got my shocks and struts changed. The ride is a lot smoother now, but I noticed at around 63-65mph the steering wheel wobbles around.

This is very discomforting, and I am going to take it to the shop tommorow to see if they can diagnose the problem.

But I would like some suggestion from the forum members as to what the problem could be?

Wheel alignment needed, thrust arm bushings? Shock alignment?

Thanks!

isn't it recommended that you get an alignment after a shock/strut job? did you lower the car? if so you should look into a camber adjustment too (that wont affect the wheel wobble though)

how bad is this "wobble" you speak of, anyways? horrendus vibration? or something that most people would shrug off, but you as a bimmer owner/enthusiast get pissed about anyways?

I think that the wobble on the wheel is at the point where a non-enthusiast would notice and be annoyed at. Though it is not at the point where I cannot control the vehicle.

And no, no lowering.

Thrust arm bushings.
