MOst exellent Jonny my boy !!:D I can't wait to hear about how she feels under different boost levels from your perspective.
Are you able to route your air filter and pipe up front in cool air with this arrangement ?

I dont think iw ill blanket it, its got like 3+ inches from the insulation. I have DEI fiberglass black heat wrap for the up pipe and downpipe.

ALthough no response to my previous Q', I'll try another.;)
........."Did you weld a oil drain fitting to a oil pan so you could have screw on connector ?" Or did you do something else ?
cheers..............Vinny

Sorry for not answer - was busy making my downpipe and 80% of my charge pipes
I have yet to drill the oil pan out but I think I will get a fitting welded on though I have an oil pan that is tapped right now. I have to swap oil pans.

this is the perfect time to get a 540 MAF and a bigger foam air filter, and maybe install an oil bypass system.... if there is any room left!

oh yeah you are doing MAF now, and i should have known that.
an oil bypass system uses 2 large filters, a full flow filter and a 1 micron slow circulation filter.
It has the same (or better) flow rate as stock, increases oil capacity by about a quart due to the larger filters, and reduces harmful particulates 10 times better than a stock oil filter. the filters also dont need to be changed for 20-50 thousand miles.

I'll stick to conventional filters especially since my oil system is able to remain stock.
You mean MAP again heh.
You can get a ride, just pay for fuel :)

I am mad at UPS - they rescheduled delivery of a couple things until Monday - that means I am going to have to go to the huge BlownEuroz meet NA. Poop.

External waste gate... Are you planning on running a screamer pipe?
How much boost are you aiming for Jon?
Last but not least what turbo is that ? the exh housing seems large.....
That wiring harness the inner guard is gonna fry with that Dumpy of yours so close, even with it wrapped.....
I'll be going the T04 route with my M30 shortly..... Mine's RHD so I'm looking into a rack and pinion conversion to give me much needed space on the right side of the engine bay.

Day to day boost (spring) is 8.7 psi

Very Nice... Any HP estimates?

on ~9 psi I hope for like 350 with the amount of air this thing moves. On high boost I dont want to be anywhere below 400 - 450
