Lately I noticed that the gap between the wheel and the wheel well is higher than usual. I checked my tire pressures, gas level and everything. I though that shocks should sag with time and not rise. What gives??

If it's on absolutely flat ground, assuming it's not seized... what happens when you push down on it?

The car rides fine and suspension travel seems to be normal. This appears to happen on all 4 wheels - mostly on the front two.
