HELP!.. can't find my MicroFilter...

I have a 91 525i and I have the whole right side of the dash off. Bentley's says the microfilter is located in between the evap and the a/c brain (sword, but 91 is not really a sword) but there is nada there.

Anyone help me out here?

I thought they did since 89 but I might be mistaken. hmm... did you look under the hood near the AC/Heat section? Mann, I think your supposed to have one...maybe not.

my 7/91 production 525i has one, with the sticker there saying:microfilter

among things my car has

auto tranny dipstick
microfilter
driveshaft that connects to dif by CV joint

car does not have
HCV cover
splash shield
shift-brake interlock
back seat lighter

just in case anybody wanted to compare/thoughts to chew upon

e38's have two (4 technicly) also, a set inside for the rec, most of the stickers i've seen have been black

Its not a 91 525i, its a 7/91 production MY 1992 car

somebody on the board (I did a poll) said they bought their (single ownership) 525i with a splash shield on it.

At least i had the fun of removing my glove box, et all, and fitting my 6'4", 215lb frame in the passanger side leg/foot area.

I think I will buy a small box and start performing at Jackson Square (new orleans) with all the other mimes and street performers.

you will need when having trouble with your evaporator or expansion valve. On the other hand, you won't ever suffer from the significant A/C air flow reduction caused by clogged microfilter, allways full air, little dusty thoug!
