Anyone had any experience with these, or know how to make a home made set?

I made some OBC LED replacements, but they didn't have enough diffusion to fully illuminate the buttons.
There's some Ebay guys out of Hong Kong selling LEDs and the resistor needed for 12v operation.
you just need a donor bulb for the end caps, and some inventor's perf PC board for the chasis.
you don't need to encapsulate the LEDs like these showen, so you can just mount them on the PC board and trim to fit the old bulb and end cap dimensions
I've been pondering a third brake light for the touring, but don't know if it will freak out the CCM.

Doesn't sound too difficult at all. Im sure I can pick up the neccesary equipment at radio shack. Maybe I'll give this a try tomorrow.

may not have super brite LEDs, but they will have the PC board and soldering tools.
Check E bay for LEDs and resistors, I paid $20 for 50

Yea, will do. I had the PC board in mind for my radioshack shopping list. I'll check ebay for the LED's and resistors
I'm lost, what are you illuminating?

incandesant bulbs and capsules that make up the interior map and dome lighting.
Oh I see. I replaced mine with bulbs painted red from autolumination.com. Just the festoon domes and they lit up the whole inside nicely. It looked great when I would unlock my car. Sadly after I had the tint job, You can't tell until you open the door.
If you're just worried about the interior overall, just buy the painted bulbs. I didn't need my buttons illuminated anyways.

hehe, that would be nice. yea, im just trying to illuminate the interior. I had blue painted bulbs from autozone, but after having on for like 3 minutes, the blue melted away.

My interior globes were all LED ones like that. God light output, and a very rich blue. I had themin the licence plate too, but they kept giving error messages, and attracting the 'plods'.. So I ditched them.
Great in the interior... Tho some may say a little too ricey.

I like the Xenon look, extra bright, but I wanted to go with a blue color, just for effect. Mainly for two rear pillar lights, and center console light. I want the blue to illuminate the car when doors unlocked.
