My style 5s came 18 months ago w/Michelin Pilot Primacy's.
Got a nail on the highway today, come home to see tire's got about 5psi and sidewalls are trashed.

Then to see the friggin tire is $203 at tirerack.

Roads here (Mississippi Gulf Coast) full of trash as cleanup and construction still ensues from post Katrina.....

So, anyone recommend another tire source?

ouch this hurts....Rob.

(would like to get out of the michelins all together, but other 3 tires have I'd estimate at still over 50% tread left.... )

In addition to similiar tread pattern and speed, tread, etc ratings as the Michelin Primacy, here's a great review from german car mag Auto Bild....

I went w/this tire as it was $103 rather than the $203 for the Pilot Primacy.

I've found Tire Rack to be the cheapest there is if you're not going to hunt around at every tire site on the planet. If you shopped at tire rack your whole life, you wouldn't have spent much more money than if you had spent an afternoon searching for a deal.

I know a lot of people that run the kumhos and are happy with them.

Check tires.com, discounttire....

Tirerack has a great sale on the S03 at the moment. Check it out, Bridgestone makes a good tire.
